You were trying to pass a truck that was dropping gravel or dirt in the road which was hitting your car. My dad got out of a ticket that way a while back (that story was semi-true too). It is 93 though so I'm not sure how well that'll fly (pun). :) You could also reschedule your court appearance as many times as you can. That way there's a better chance they won't group you with the other people the cop ticketed, and there's a better chance of him not showing. Just a few thoughts. Be creative, and definitely fight it.
